Five sections with a total length of 255 meters are ready
The builders of Bamtonnelstroy-Most Group of Companies have started the construction of a roadway slab on the new Zeya Bridge in Blagoveshchensk. The roadway slab construction consists of several stages and is carried out from both banks simultaneously.
The slab construction works started with the installation of a stay-in-place formwork and reinforcement of a framework, after that the specialists started concreting.
“The next stage of the new Zeya Bridge construction – the roadway slab construction – has begun. As of today, five sections with a total length of 255 meters are ready, 990 cubic meters of concrete have been laid,” Project Manager and Chief of Zeya Brach Office of Bamtonnelstroy-Most JSC Eduard Davydov said.
In total, the roadway slab will be 1,455 meters long, builders will lay about 7,000 cubic meters of concrete and install 2,500 tons of reinforcement to build it. Once these works are completed, builders will construct expansion joints and carry out waterproofing.
The total length of the bridge crossing is 10,285 meters, of which the bridge is 1,933 meters long and access roads are 8,352 meters long.
The bridge has an optimally designed extradosed structure that allows to reduce weight of the superstructure, height of the pylons and length of the stay cables.
Car traffic on the bridge will be arranged in one lane in each direction. According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of the project will decrease the traffic load on the existing bridge by 40-60%, which will allow the residents of the Amur Region to cover the distance between the city and the federal highway more conveniently.
