USK MOST OJSC and Tokyo Rope MFG Group of Companies Have Concluded an Agreement of Intent

USK MOST OJSC and Tokyo Rope MFG Group of Companies have concluded an Agreement of Intent in the field of bridge construction and comprehensive engineering protection of infrastructure facilities.

Signing of the Agreement was the result of an understanding reached between Mr. Shigeto Tanaka, the President of Tokyo Rope MFG Group of Companies, and Mr. Boris Kondrat, the General Director of USK MOST OJSC, during a business trip of a delegation of SK MOST Group of Companies to Tokyo at the end of May of the current year.

Tokyo Rope MFG Company was founded on April 1, 1887. The Company specializes in manufacture and sales of wire rope, steel cord, Carbon Fiber Composite Cable (CFCC); design and construction of road safety devices, such as safety fences and rock fall and mudflow prevention nets, environmental protection products, such as sound barriers; manufacturing and sales of various industrial machinery and metal fiber. Tokyo Rope MFG Company occupies leading positions in bridge engineering and construction.

USK MOST OJSC and Tokyo Rope MFG Group of Companies intend to develop a program of joint cooperation in the field of bridge construction and comprehensive engineering protection of infrastructure facilities. The Parties will establish a working engineering group to develop the lines of cooperation.

The signing ceremony of the Agreement of Intent took place during a visit of a Japanese delegation to USK MOST’s office on June 1, 2010.
