One Third of Novy Settlement – De-Friz – Sedanka Highway has been Paved

Recent news

No less than 5 kilometers of the roadway has been paved on the first Far Eastern asphalt concrete route Novy Settlement – De-Friz – Sedanka. The highway completion is scheduled for the APEC Summit, which is to be held in Vladivostok in 2012. It will take only 40 minutes to get from the Knevichi Airport to the Russky Island where the international forum will be held.

The highway, which is routed from Novy settlement, via De-Friz and Sedanka, to the Patrokl Bay, is broken down into three sections. The first section (that starts at the exit from M-6- federal route to Novy settlement and leads to the De-Friz Peninsula) will have the asphalt concrete pavement. Concrete is placed by USK MOST builders using the state-of-the art Gomaco PS-200 Placer/Spreader. One third of the work has been currently completed: a 4,800-meter section out of the total of 14,300 m has been paved.

The paving of the new route will be completed by the end of 2011. Construction of the new asphalt concrete highway is only part of an ambitious plan to upgrade the highway grid in the South of Primorsk Region, which will establish connections between Knevichi Airport, Vladivostok, and Russky Island.
