Grillage for Two End Pillars of a Motorway Bridge over Amurskaya Channel Concreted

STROY-TREST OJSC workers carry on with construction of a motorway bridge to the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island in Khabarovsk. They have concreted the grillage and caps of the two end piers, number 1 and number 10.

Construction of the new bridge to the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island in Khabarovsk is carried out in two phases. As part of the first phase, the footings for 6 piers have been put in place; they are drilling to put in place the footing for one more pier and conduct preparations for concreting pier number 2.

An ice crossing that connects the island with the mainland has been built and used extensively. More specifically, it is used to haul excavated soil from the right bank to the island.

As of today, 400 meters of the roadbed have been filled, and a reinforced concrete culvert measuring 2.0 by 2.0 meters and 61.28-meters long has been installed. Freight Dock number 2 has been put in place on the island.

The highway bridge over Amurskaya Channel to the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island will allow for deploying retail and recreation/entertainment areas near Khabarovsk and will also contribute to the development of agricultural production and country house construction on the island.

The bridge length will be 957 meters. Bridge design: 42+105+5×126+105+63. The length with the approach roads will be 5.1 km. The bridge clearance is of 11.5 m; the roadbed width is of 13.5 m; the roadway width is of 7.5 m.
