Normal traffic is now open to Zhulebino and Lermontovsky Prospekt stations of Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Moscow Subway line.
The traffic opening was inaugurated Zhulebino station. Andrey Bochkarev, Director of the Moscow Construction Department, and Ivan Besedin, Director of Moscow Subway, took part in the inauguration rally. “We have managed to do the job at least 11-12 months ahead of the construction schedule,” said Andrey Bochkarev, Director of the Moscow Construction Department.
The builders were awarded with prizes during a solemn ceremony.
The construction began in August 2011. The tunnels between the stations were built using four tunnel boring systems. The low-depth station facilities were built in the open pits simultaneously with tunneling.
The construction work was done by units the SK MOST Group of Companies. JSC USK MOST, JSC BTS, LLC Tonnelny otryad No. 18, LLC Mostotrest 2005, and JSC US YUGK. The design was done by JSC Mosinzhproekt and JSC Metrogiprotrans.
Kotelniki station, which is under construction, is to be added to the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line on the Zhulebino station side.
