Recent news

The driving of the left-hand side of a 1,390-meter-long stage tunnel has been completed in the Kossino-Ukhtomskaya section of Moscow Subway Kozhukhovskaya line. This is the first tunnel to be driven for the new capital subway line under construction.

The tunnel was driven moving from the Kossino-Ukhtomskaya Station by the Herrenknecht-EPB6150 Tunnel-Boring Machine. The machine was used previously for driving three stage tunnels in the Vykhino – Lermontovsky Prospekt and Zhulebino – Kotelniki sections of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line.

After the machine has left the tunnel, the builders proceeded with its disassembly and relocation back to the Kossino-Ukhtomskaya Station. Once there, the Herrenknecht-EPB6150 Tunnel-Boring Machine will start driving the right-hand stage tunnel to the Nekrasovka Station.
