Today, the Grand opening ceremony of the automobile bridge took place. The Governor of the Amur region Alexander Kozlov arrived at an important event in infrastructure and social terms, the press service of the regional government reports.
Before acceptance, the bridge crossing was examined, tested and issued a positive conclusion about its technical condition.
The head of the region congratulated all residents of the district on the opening of the bridge and stressed that the timely commissioning of a reliable and meeting all the requirements of the bridge was made possible thanks to the professionalism of specialists involved in the construction of the object. They received letters of thanks.
The Governor stressed that now the district will finally establish year-round communication between settlements separated by Selemdzha. Previously, citizens could use the ferry, but its operation was highly dependent on the flood situation on the river.
“With the construction of the bridge, two tasks have been implemented: social and strategic. First, it made it possible for residents to move across the river year-round, despite floods. Secondly, the bridge will give an impetus to the development of gold mining and coal mining in the area”,
– said the head of the Amur region Alexander Kozlov.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by the head of the region, the management of the companies “Most-Vostok”, “Petropavlovsk”, a column of cars passed over the bridge.
The construction of the bridge cost 4.6 billion rubles. Construction started in July 2013. The length of the bridge over the Selemju river is 853.76 meters.
