“He (bridge-approx. TASS) is about 50% ready: a lot of piles are hammered, driveways are filled in. We very much hope that we will meet the deadlines and deliver it on June 9, 2018”,
– said Alexey Chekunkov.
According to him, the contract was signed in early June last year.
Construction is underway, “SK Most” is working. In January, we entered the planned funding scheme. Before that, we had an extraordinary scheme where, even though the first money, the first almost 2 billion rubles, passed only through the Federal reserve, we were able to get around all these difficulties thanks to the Russian direct investment Fund”,
– the CEO added.
He also said that now about 400 people are involved in the construction site. Work did not stop even in severe frosts, so the construction of the bridge is being carried out at a rapid pace. The railway bridge over the Amur river with a total length of 2.2 km is being built under an intergovernmental agreement. It is planned to open traffic on it in 2018.

With the opening of the bridge, the cargo transportation capacity for export-oriented enterprises in the Far East will be reduced by 700 km. The total cost of the project will be about 10 billion rubles.
INOSMI: $110 million has been additionally allocated for the construction of a cross-border bridge in Nizhneleninsky.at the first stage, the volume of 5.2 million tons of export cargo per year is expected. These are primarily coal, iron ore concentrate, timber, light industry products and containerized cargo. In the future, after the reconstruction of the Birobidzhan-Leninsk railway section, the bridge’s capacity may grow to 20 million tons.
