An employee of JSC USK Most climbed the highest peak in Europe and Russia – mount Elbrus (5642 m) and unfurled the official flag of the SK MOST Group of companies on it.

On August 13, 2018, at 10: 30 Moscow time, on the Western top of mount Elbrus (height 5642 m), an employee of the public relations and media Department of the SK MOST Group of companies unfurled the company’s flag and captured it in a photo.

The ascent was preceded by serious training and a great desire to go to this not the easiest peak to climb.

The climber spent several months working at a sports center, running multi-kilometer distances, and also trained endurance.

Just before the ascent, he was acclimated in the mountains for a week, making ascents to small mountains and passing various training routes (Terskol Observatory, Cheget mountain, Adyl-Suu gorge, and others).

Further along the classic climbing route from the Azau glade (2300 m), he on foot, without resorting to the services of a cable car, raised his backpack and tent to a height of 4200 m (near the “Shelter of Eleven”), there he organized his “base camp”, setting up his tent on a rock ledge, where he spent 3 days and 2 nights, periodically making training exits to the Pastukhov Rocks (4700 m). And on the 3rd night successfully stormed one of the two peaks of mount Elbrus – the Western (5642 m).

The ascent took place in a strong wind, for a long time there was no normal weather on the mountain, but as soon as the first opportunity appeared and the sun slightly dispersed the clouds and clouds that covered everything around, despite the strong wind that almost blows off the mountaineering path, he went out at night with other climbers to storm the top, which he successfully reached, and then safely descended to the tent. Next year, our employee plans to climb mount Kazbek.
