On December 12, 2018, at 16 o’clock Moscow time, the tunnel was knocked down on the section from the station under construction “Okskaya” with an exit to the pit of the station “Stakhanovskaya” of the Nekrasovskaya line of the Moscow metro.
Stakhanovskaya street station is located at the intersection of Ryazan Avenue with 2nd Grayvoronovsky passage. The planned capacity after opening will be 100 thousand people per day.
Tunneling operations were carried out using the Herrenknecht EPB-10690 (S-517) “Victoria” tunneling mechanized complex. The total length of the distillation tunnel was 1993 meters. The work was carried out around the clock, with a break only for the replacement of cutting tools.
Outer diameter of the tunnel: 10.3 m, inner diameter: 9.4 m. The built tunnel is double-track, which means a significant reduction in construction time, since 2 tracks for trains pass through one tunnel at once.
Excellent results were achieved by tunnelers in terms of the speed of penetration. At certain times, the maximum speed of the TBM reached a record of 471.6 meters per month!
The excavation was carried out in a dense urban development in the immediate vicinity of Ryazan Avenue, near buildings and structures and engineering communications.
The solemn event was attended by almost all tunnel builders and managers.
Sinking started in December 2018 and took less than 12 months.
In the future, a technological operation will be performed to move TBM along the Stakhanovskaya street station. The total length of the track will be 193 meters, after which the complex will be prepared for the start in the direction of the station “Nizhegorodskaya”. The length of the stage from the station “Stakhanovskaya” to the station “Nizhegorodskaya” is 1394 m.
