Specialists of JSC “USK MOST”, which is part of the SK MOST Group of Companies, have completed emergency repair work on two defective sections of the bridge over the zeyu river in the city of Blagoveshchensk, which will open traffic on two lanes of the bridge crossing.
The bridge over the Zeya river was in an emergency condition and was functioning in emergency mode after the roadway slabs sagged. The builders carried out work on the sections around the 19th and 22nd pillars in the shortest possible time.
“The adoption of correct technical and engineering solutions initially, as well as the coordinated work of the designer, builders and services of the Blagoveshchensk administration allowed us to solve the problem of the city in the shortest possible time”,
– said Eduard Davydov, Deputy General Director of JSC “USK MOST”.
In just two “technological windows” at night from 20 to 21, and from 26 to 27 may, 8 roadway slabs were replaced. This required a complete closure of traffic on the bridge.
The rest of the work was performed in reverse traffic on one lane. Specialists sealed the seams and concreted the leveling layer. In addition, the barrier fence and pedestrian sidewalks were restored.
Additionally, the longitudinal beams of the roadway of the bridge were reinforced with stiffening ribs and the paintwork of the metal structures of the repaired sections was restored.
JSC “USK MOST” has been working in the region for a long time. Earlier, the company’s specialists built the Russian part of the first cross-border road bridge between Russia and China across the Amur river.
