There was no individually made contribution, but only the joint one, and we managed to do it all together. Today we present the deserved awards of the Government of the Russian Federation to the most distinguished ones,”

said Alexander Kozlov.

In August of this year, during the working trip to the Far East, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited the Blagoveshchensk-Heihe Bridge, talked to specialists, congratulated them on the completion of construction and announced that they will recieve the letter of appreciation on behalf of the Russian Government.

“You will be proud of this project, you will tell your children and grandchildren about it. I guess that it is great to take part in such construction project. And here comes a completely new perspective on the relations between our countries as well. This is a powerful transport artery that will allow to transfer about 2 million people and 4 million tons of cargo a year. I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your dedicated hard work,”

said the Prime Minister.

Specialists of SK MOST Group of Companies built the Russian part of the bridge across the Amur River; the bridge over the Kanikurganskaya channel and a connecting road between them. The Blagoveshchensk-Heihe Bridge between Russia and China will increase the volume of cargo traffic and will strengthen economic relations between the regions of the two countries.

Construction of the bridge began at the end of 2016. Its length is 1,080 metres. Each of the sides (Russian and Chinese) built half of the bridge – 540 metres each. Both parts of the bridge were built synchronously from the two river banks; they were joined on May 31, 2019. After that, the works on both river banks were still in progress; the construction of the main stages of the bridge was completed in December 2019. The construction was carried out without borrowing funds from the state budget of the Russian Federation according to the concession model.
