Specialists of the SK MOST Group of Companies have driven a section of the double-track tunnel of the Moscow Metro’s Big Circle Line (BCL) under Pechatniki operating station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line. The works are carried out using a 10-meter tunnel boring machine (TBM) Herrenknecht EPB-10690 (S-517) Victoria.

“We have excavated a 84-meter-long difficult section directly under Pechatniki Station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line. At the moment, Victoria TBM has left the zone located under the metro station and continues the tunneling,”

said Konstantin Ponomarenko, Head of the Dubrovka branch office of JSC USK MOST, which is a part of the SK MOST Group of Companies.

Earlier, Victoria excavated a 1,310-meter-long tunnel between Tekstilshchiki Station and Pechatniki Station of the BCL and after moving through the station under construction continued on its way to Nagatinsky Zaton. The length of the new tunnel will be 1,692 meters. The route of the Pechatniki – Nagatinsky Zaton section is complicated. It runs through a heavily built-up area (civil and industrial facilities, highways, a large number of underground communications), as well as under Pechatniki operating metro station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line. In addition, the excavation will be carried out under the bed of the Moskva River.
