The new facility runs above the Trans-Siberian Railway
The builders of SK Mostotrest LLC have completed the reconstruction of the overpass along Mikhailo-Chesnokovskaya Street in the city of Svobodny.
The decision on reconstruction was made in 2018, after the old overpass between the Central District and Zalineyny District of the city had collapsed.
The works started in September 2020 with a disassembly of the old structures. The construction was carried out above the operating section of the Trans-Siberian Railway without stopping the train traffic and with minimal usage of possessions.
“The new overpass is ready, the work is completed on schedule, we are absolutely confident in its quality and reliability. The technologies and materials used for the construction meet all the international standards,” said General Director of SK Mostotrest LLC Viktor Martynenko
The new structure is 174 meters long, piers are located within the dimensions of the railway. The metal superstructure is made of weather resistant steel, which does not require any corrosion protection throughout the entire service life.
