Today, on July 8, the BAM Builder’s Day is celebrated in the Republic of Buryatia and the Irkutsk Region – the Decree No. 561 “On the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline” was adopted by the CPSU Central Committee and the Council of Ministers of the USSR exactly on this day in 1974.
The history of Bamtonnelstroy-Most Group of Companies traces back to the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline and the entities involved in building of the most important and complicated transport infrastructure facilities: Bamtonnelstroy engaged in the tunnel construction and Mostootryad 55 of Mostotrest 10 engaged in the bridge construction.
The experience gained by our bridge and tunnel builders involved in the largest construction project of the XX century has not only been preserved, but also applied in the infrastructure construction projects of the XXI century, such as the new Baikal Tunnel, cross-border bridges between Russia and China and many others!
